I have a Japanese Shot gun that I am seeking more information on more details and value. Does anyone know anything about this shotgun. I have been told it is a 16 gauge hand engraved, silver inlaid, nitro steel barrel Damascus pattern, half octagon, half round w/ rifle sight for shooting early paragon slugs. Signed by maker Mitsu Naga, nippon meih=ji. Rosewood stock hand checkered with buffalo horn trim.

Can you post a photo of the Japanese markings?

It's beautiful! Thanks for posting. I think Frank is asking if there is any Japanese writing (kanji) on it, and asking for pictures of it. The pictures uploaded are very small,I can't tell if it's kanji or not, if it isn't too much trouble, could you post larger pictures? When you 'add image to post' don't resize them unless they are too large to upload, choose 800x600 or a couple sizes higher if they are too large to upload. _________________ Subscribe to BANZAI!

I didn't pay to much for that old Arisaka, I just bought it a little bit too soon! |

I appreciate the efforts to assist. Let me know if the photo works to help determine more on the gun. |

The kanji read "utility model patent."

I think the images have been removed/deleted as I can't view even the small ones.

hosting site seems to have lost them. I leave the posts in case they 'find' them... i guess I should clean them up though. _________________ Subscribe to BANZAI!
