|
|
Hello all, I recently acquired a no series Type 38 in pretty rough shape but it has the 00 added to the serial number as well as the additon of the 文 kanji and overstamped mum with concentric circles.
Can anyone translate the Kanji's meaning? |

Sure, the kanji "文" (bun) is an abbreviation for the longer phrase "文部者", which translates "Minister of Education."
Do you mind posting the rifle serial number?

The serial number appears to be 1506993 but it's a bit ocluded by oxidation. The build number is J784 and everything but the bolt matches, but it matches its self.

That is well marked. You can just collect different receiver markings and mum treatments and have a huge collection... Thanks for posting! Trey _________________ Subscribe to BANZAI!

I didn't pay to much for that old Arisaka, I just bought it a little bit too soon! |
