Yah I'd like to get some of the extra goodies in mint condition for it (AAwings for sight, cleaning rod, Gun Strap, Dust Cover). All in Mint condition to except for the gun strap because
that might be impossible ^^ PLus those parts aren't parts such as the bolt,Front Sight,Barrel that are numbered to match this rifles arsenal Serial code. So those accessories could only benifit the gun's originality.

I was also wondering about the arsenal. Izawa Jyuko It is stated to have produced 60,000 total and 10,000 in the first print run which the gun is a first print run version.

I heard they actually produced less than 10,000 and possibly less than 50,000 in the second print run too.

Does anyone know these possible numbers? I heard this happened in other arsenals too.

That rifle probably never had wings or a dust cover. Dust cover would be numbered to the rifle anyway. The high for the 4th series is 9965, the high for the 9th series is 21432 from gunshow reports and completed datasheets. Trey

So they probaly had a first run of 10,000 then the second run was a few thousand more? maybe late war productions? Not sure.

Izawa was allotted portions of 2 series'. The ranges come from the the reported rifles, assuming production started with serial number 0.

4th series 0-10,000 from surviving serial numbers
9th series 0-22,000 from surviving serial numbers

Izawa was in Osaka Japan. Maybe the arsenal was bombed before production could finish? Or they were all destroyed deliberately before the United states occuppied. I wonder this because the website states the 2nd run was 50,000. So thats alot of missing rifles.

The website is probably including the rifles produced by Howa Jyuko, their estimated production was from 50k-82k.

This web site here has the numbers that say the izawa 2nd run #9 was 50k.

That may have been the numbers allotted for Izawa and Howa production for the 9th series, assuming Izawa was allotted 0-49,999 and howa 50,000 to 99,000. Neither arsenal actually produced that many rifles. Trey

either they were gonna do 50k and didn't or maybe the census is missing 28,000 consecutive guns. Alot of ships sunk to the bottom,cities firebombed,and caves sealed. Why could'nt a consecutive numbered batch of rifles end up missing. I'd be really curious though if they were produced. It's a certain arsenal version of a gun with a large half of the portion destroyed. Of course I can only wonder. I'd imagine that the second half of an arsenals quota would be ideal to come up missing due to the terrible situation of the japanese exporting operations under constant effective American Attack.
